Consider Bringing Your Cat If:

• The trip is extended (weeks or months)
• Your cat has severe separation anxiety
• Your cat is an experienced traveler and handles it well
• No reliable cat care is available at home

Consider Leaving Them Home If:

• The trip is short (a few days)
• Your cat is elderly, ill, or highly anxious
• You have a reliable pet sitter
• The destination isn’t cat-friendly
• Multiple modes of transport are involved
