Must-Have Supplies for Cat Owners

Quality supplies don’t have to be expensive, but choosing the right ones makes a big difference for your cat’s comfort and your convenience.

Must-Haves

Litter box: Open, appropriately sized. One per cat plus one
Food & water bowls: Wide and shallow to prevent whisker fatigue. Stainless steel or ceramic
Quality food: Named animal protein as first ingredient (see Feeding Guide)
Carrier: Sturdy, well-ventilated. Top-loading is easiest
Scratching post: At least one vertical and one horizontal option
Toys: Wand toys for interactive play, solo toys for independent play
Grooming tools: Appropriate for coat type (see Grooming Guide)
